English Bump is my 3rd blog. Its definitely an extension of the first two attempts, Darling Charlie and 1770. Which both were good but never really took on a point of view. I am hoping to make English Bump a bit more specific.
The point of the page is for me, an aesthetic one. A visual outlet about interior design. I wish there was a less pedestrian way of putting it but I want it to be clear what I am after here. I am interested in the world of interiors (not the magazine although it is the best one out there), how things look. Colors, textiles, light, art, angles, upholstery, drapery, wallpaper, carpeting, rugs, furniture, architecture, landscapes, nature, food! All of it. I get very excited by all of those things and I, like every other jerk with a computer, want to share my excitement with the world. So bear with me as I post all kinds of pictures and hopefully videos of things you might wonder "what the hell does that have to do with my living room". My inspirations and ideas come from all over the place. So I am hoping to round them up, edit them down and put them on the page and make some sense out of it all! So if it's tips, or shops or links you're looking for then this is not the place for you. There are so many great blogs out there that already provide those things that I don't feel it necessary to add any more. What you can expect from me is inspiration. What you do with the inspiration is up to you.
Perhaps it won't always be obvious but most good things aren't.
